NewAtThis
Hello! My site is at imh.mythatsgood.com My theme is based on the default Prestashop 1.6 bootstrap theme. Everything was going fine until yesterday when I tried to upgrade Prestashop to the latest and greatest. I didn't know that this would tear up my site, so afterward, I reverted to the backup that was created when I upgraded Prestashop. After reverting, I found that everything looked good, but my top horizontal menu bar had disappeared, and in its place was a a series of text links. I've attached a screenshot of what it is supposed to look like and a screenshot of what it looks like now. Does anyone know what caused this? Thank you! NemoPS
The second one I see happening. It seems it's missing css again, can you try resetting the module?
NewAtThis
Thank you, nemo1. I Disabled an re-enabled the module. Is There another way to reset it? I checked my hosting file manager and the files in that module's css directory seem to be the same as in an old backup. By the way, cache is cleared. Thanks! NewAtThis
Ok, so in order to reset the module (since disabling and re-enabling didn't get the job done, I first made a back-up copy of my main directory (including css, modules, themes, everything), and then I uninstalled and then re-installed the top horizontal menu module. This brought back my bar (yay!) and it even maintained my css modifications (double-yay!) That really surprised me. I assumed uninstalling it would delete the css files associated with that module, but it most have kept them. The only problem, and I assume this will be an easy fix, is that somehow that margin below the bar seems to be 0. I recopied in the module css and global.css files from my backup, but that didn't help. I feel sure I can fix the spacing. But that's a different issue. As for getting my menu back, I can mark this solved. Thank you, nemo1!
NewAtThis
The missing margin I mentioned was because the "Featured products on homepage" module had also been messed up during the backup/upgrade/restore process. I fixed it using the same procedure: I uninstalled that module and re-installed it. Wow, so my lesson from all this is to save good backups and use great caution when deciding to upgrade. Things can really get messed up! Thanks again for your help.
