Sgt1966
We are looking for a Google Merchant Feed module that works. Our products are a bit more complex, having multiple attributes to select for many of the products. Recommendations ? Thank you.
Sgt1966
1. Google Shopping V2 by Prestatoolbox.com - http://www.prestatoolbox.com/buying-guide/85-export-google-shopping.html 2. Google Merchant Center (Google Shopping) By Business Tech - http://addons.prestashop.com/en/seo-prestashop-modules/1768-google-merchant-center-google-shopping.html 3. Google Shopping By PrestaShop - http://addons.prestashop.com/en/comparison-shopping-prestashop/1615-google-shopping.html #1 appears to have desire to update their module to current GOOGLE.COM Merchant feed requirements including Gender, Age and other fields. Actively is updating module to meet Google's requirements. This module works with simple or complex prestashop and products with combinations. However does need to be updated and developer is actively working on updating module. #2 - Seems to have no desire to work with shop owners to update module to meet Google.com's current existing feed requirements. Or to quote price to provide support within Module for Complex product combinations within prestashop carts. If it does not work, why is it on the addon's ? #3 - Shockingly - says it is supported by Prestashop - and well, still waiting to hear from Developers/Prestashop if they will update/fix their module. If it does not work, why is it on the addon's ? finally, while I have hope for the #1 above and waiting for the developer to get back in touch about required updates for Color attribute to be matched to specific attributes based upon product category (such as Metal for Jewelry versus Color of Shirts - 14K Yellow Gold, 18K White Gold, etc...) we will continue to see what else is available and will be checking out module: https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/381026-free-module-google-shopping-flux/ Anyone else with experience of complex products / combinations and finding a Google.com Merchant feed that works ? Thank you Edited March 30, 2015 by Sgt1966 (see edit history)
David Niry
Hi Sgt1966, I am quite surprised by your post on our module here, as we have always been actively working with merchants and updating the module, and it actually does include features to manage gender, age etc... In fact, we are working right now on a new version that will incorporate advanced custom tags management, quick stock and price update following this new feature offered by Google and more. Are you sure you did not get us mixed up with another developer ? However, indeed, we do not provide quotes or do custom work for merchants. In that, you are correct. We take feedback from customers very seriously, and when something appears to be applicable to many merchants, we include it in our roadmap. But that takes time, and when something is too specific to a single or small set of merchants, we indeed do not do it, as it needs to make financial sense for us. We are an addons publisher, not an agency, so indeed you cannot get an immediate custom development from us. But there are plenty of agencies out there who can do this for you. I hope this clears things up Best Regards, David Niry Founder & CEO Business Tech
jetx
#2..If it does not work, why is it on the addon's ? Quite unfair. The mod works great and the the support from them is very good.

wonka1023
My product line is simple. No attributes or combos. I just have close to 10,000 products that I would like to feed into Google Shopping. I am willing to spend money, but I don't want to waste money. Which mod do you guys think is the best for my needs? edbroker
It seems like every data feed or submission company or app wants you to create your own data sheet which is extremely time consuming. Every product has to have a title model # description manufacturer price link to image link to product and a category
n_s_simpson
WARNING!!!! Do not update your Google Merchant Center module to 4.2.0. I've spent most of the morning trying to work out why the update stopped working before emailing BusinessTech. I gave them access to my system but they couldn't figure out what was wrong before leaving for the day so got to wait til Monday now. I updated their demo website to 4.2.0 and exactly the same problem occurred. Basically the CRON URL changes: From: https://URL.co.uk/gmerchantcenter.feed.php?id_shop=1&token=XXXXXXXX&id_lang=2&country=GB¤cy_iso=GBP To: https://URL.co.uk/modules/gmerchantcenter/cron.php?id_shop=1&token=XXXXXXXX Here's their demo page where you can see the module I've broken by updating it: http://addons.prestashop.com/demo/BO848.html User: [email protected] Pass: demodemo Hope it helps. David Niry
Hi Nick, I take it your issue has been resolved since. Indeed, we added a security feature in 4.2.0, after many requests for it, and a security token is now added at the end. Indeed, when doing this update, the URL changes, and all that is required is to look it up in the module's configuration, and update it in Google's interface. I hoep this clears it up for anyoen who might read this. And let us know if you have any additional questions
