A different name for each product image

There is a problem in my installation PS ver.1.6.0.14, that after I upload another image, it rewrites a Legend of all images already uploaded, so they have all the same name. I want a different name for each image. Any solutions?

Hello,

try to use the alt text as imagename.
Then you are able to define different names.

 

I am new and didn t find until now where the image name is generated.

 

Or we find a solution to keep the existing image names while uploading.

 

In my present shop i gave every image a different name and save the images like

333_1_name-of-image.jpg

333_2_image-of-name.jpg

333_3_of-name-image.jpg

 

the333 is the products id.

I don't know why this opportunity was deleted (in 1.4 you could give images different names).

For example, If I have a t-shirt I would give each image a name with each color of the t-shirt, so that in the SEO research it could be found exactly.

I think this is an urgent bug to solve but nobody made a suggestion yet
