AffordableFiberOptics
Hi all.Quick question. Is there a way to force a customer to add an attribute before they add the item to the cart? For instance, if there are two attributes I need the customer to select one before they add they item to the cart. Thanks as always for your help!Patrick

AffordableFiberOptics
I wish I could say this was solved.Inserted the code and crippled my entire store... well at least anything with attributes...http://www.affordablefiberoptics.com/v2/product.php?id_product=166Any ideas? Thanks.Patrick
tomerg3
I'm pretty this is not related to the alert changes, since they are all javascript related.Try removing them and see if things go back to normal.
AffordableFiberOptics
Okay I deleted the code I copied into the files and everything works again.I wonder why the code doesn't work? Thanks again.Patrick
mohsart
This seemed like a good mod, so I implimented it as described. But nothing happened, everything works exactly as before!PS 1.2.4/Mats
tomerg3
I have just applied this fix to http://presto-changeo.com/124/1-ipod-nano.htmlIt requires the cart block to work, but as long as you have that, there should not be a problem. If you are not using the cart block, I can look into the changes you'll need to make. mohsart
I use the Cart block, but Ajax mode is not activated/Mats
tomerg3
I use the Cart block, but Ajax mode is not activated/Mats I have added another line change to the instructions, it will work without the block cart or when ajax is disabled.
mohsart
Thanks, works fine.Should the changes be applied to product-list.tpl (and maybe other files?) as well, or would this cause problems?/Mats
tomerg3
It wont work on other files, what you could do there is change the add to cart to something like customize product, and make it link to the product page.
mohsart
Sounds like a ok workaround, I'll have a look when I get the time. I don't know at all how to determine if there are attributes on a product, but maybe it's obvious once I take a look.../Mats
mohsart
It seems information about wether a product has attributes or not is not available in product-list.tpl so I'm stuck again.I hate to nag about this, I know I have asked before, but could someone please give me a hint on how to make information like this available.I don't think I need a ready-made solusion or a tutorial, but something like "take a look at the file foo, module bar and how the varable $foo is treated" would help. Just to kick me into the right direction.../Mats
AffordableFiberOptics
I still can't get it to work after 4 attempts.
