Hi,

First of all, my appologies for reporting this as a bug. I didn't knew where to put this. Let's say it's a configuration matter.

In the Permissions tab, when selecting only appearances and NOT Preferences. The Appearances tab will not show up in the menu.

I want this because i’m a webdesigner and i want my client not to change or view the General Preferences. He must only be able to change appearances, change logo, change meta-data etc…

Is this possible?

If you want him to view the submenu of Preferences, you have to let him at least the permission to see this page.

But there is maybe another solution. You can try to move the Appearance submenu under another tab of the BO, using "BO > Tools > Tabs". I don't know if you can even make the Preference Tabs, display the Appearence page. You should try this. Just note that it will change the menu for all the users of the BO.

It worked. If I click on Preferences, i see the Appearances tab. Off course I had to make another tag displaying the General tab. Problem over there: No way to select or upload an icon.

Also the following didn't work:
Setting the Appearance tab as a main tab. If you do that, you'll have an unvalid token error.
