BTW i realised cURL was not working as an error in the modules tab of the back office.
Don't know why i missed it but the error was clear as day. ERROR - PayPal: In order to use your module, please activate cURL (PHP extension)
After that i contacted hosting support and the above comment shows the issue and solution.
