DavideTS
Hello everybody!I`m just new here, with a big problem to share with you. I have a website with hostingzoom and I wonna install prestashop in it. Actually I have being trying doing this for all the day, but I can`t complete it and i don`t know what to try now. That`s why Im writing here. I explein you how I did procede:Before installing Pshop I worked on my server: updated to php5, created a new database with sql with new user with all permissions. Then I updated all Pshop files and I changed the attribute on 777 in that files which require it. After this I proceded with the real installation on prestashop/install. Everithing good untill I arrive at step 4. At that step I fill all my company`s datas, my personal datas and my company`s logo. Than I click "next" to procede on 5th and last step but nothing change and i can`t do nothing but retry or close the window. There are no error messages, nothing, just the step 5 doesnt load on my page....isn`t it weird? So I tried to access anyway in admin section but actually the mail and pswd I typed just a while before dont` works. It seems that nothing concerning my new account have been wrote on sql database..what should I do? Sorry for my not really perfect english^^

DavideTS
I see.. I tried to set up a profile manually in the table ps_employer with phpmyadmin. Now i can get access in admin but i have just a partial control on it...infact I lack the bar with all instruments...that`s kind a weird. It seems that when I install the software, prestashop can`t write down my admin profile on the database of my server. Infact, when I try to verify my mail on the 3rd step of the installation, i dont recive any mail.
rocky
There is a known issue where installation freezes if your email settings are incorrect. You can work around it by unchecking “Receive notifications by e-mail”. This will allow Prestashop to install correctly, but if you don’t enter working email settings, Prestashop will not be able to send emails. DavideTS
Ok, I got the problem. My server is a 32 bit server with php 5.2.6...that seems bad:* Some PHP 5 versions are bugged and prevent PrestaShop from working correctly:- PHP 5.2.1 (authentication is impossible)- PHP 5.2.6 (authentication is impossible under 64bits servers)- PHP 5.2.9 (image management/upload broken)- PHP < 5.2 (invalid date timezone) There is any way to patch it and install it properly?
