Does anyone have a definitive answer for 'contact us' & email errors?

Hi,

Have been searching around for a while and seen a few threads o this but no definite answer!

I'm having the usual,

There is 1 error :

1. an error occurred while sending message

Tried it sending to different emails, my own @aol.com, and to [email protected].

But cant get anything, just an error message!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Also tried one solution mentioned of replacing the contactform php with an older model, but also cant get that to work!

Also tried the code modification posted by a Moderator on here, but still nothing!


And if I remember the confirmation email on the install pages of PS never came through!

If you tried the modification on my site, than it might be something with your host requiring you to use their own SMTP server.

Which host do you use?

Using one.com, but have tried directing the mail to [email protected] and to my personal aol.com account. And no joy with either?

Just tried all the settings previously posted and try the older contact form with said settings and without! And nothing, whether logged in as a customer or just a straight contact us entry.

Thant is a great find! Off to try the changes! Many thanks, was about to delete and reinstall PS and my shop!
