regenerate shopping-cart.tpl

hello,
i have modified the shopping-cart.tpl but i am not sure how to rebuild the smarty for this.

themes/prestashop/shopping-cart.tpl

the actual shopping-cart.tpl is modified but the compiled file is not updated.

i tried removing the

rm tools/smarty/compile/%^1E9^1E989AAE%%shopping-cart.tpl.ph

file, but this still returned the old template.

i have restarted apache2 as well, but to no avail.

any ideas on how to do this?
