maxpash
Hi, I'm really new at prestashop and I only barely know what I'm doing. A friend installed it for me and it seems to be configured correctly, but something's wrong. When I add a new category under home in the back office, it shows up as a link on the front office page after a refresh of the home page, but when I click on it, I get a "not found: requested url was not found on the server" error. The link is pointing to www.mysite.com/prestashop/#-category with # representing a prefix number and category being whatever I named the category. So, I tried to delete the category and add a new one, but it keeps giving me the same error. As I noted, I do believe I set all my 777 write permissions correctly through filezilla directly on the server, but I did this after the installation and I'm not sure where the category page is supposed to be written to.Does this make sense? Thanks for any help you're able to provide.MP
maxpash
I figured out that it was a friendly url issue. Still have some learning to do there too. But I got the category links to work by turning off friendly url under the Preferences tab.
