frankenstein897
Hello all,I chose the forum with the most posts and replies in the hopes to try and get an answer question that was posted in the CRELoaded forums."How does upgrading to new patches affect the previous Presto version, with the likes of one's template, modules etc and even with keeping one's initial Presto install as standard as possible?"The community at CRELoaded wants to know what it is like over here. Thank you,Chris
claybourg
Did you switch from CRE to Presta?I'm considering but CRE B2B still have better functionalities, Presta looks promising though.I have not run the 6.4.1 CRE patch, does not seem to be bug free yet. frankenstein897
We have not switched. I am doing some research to determine if I want to switch. I have 5+ years exprerince with working with CRELoaded and I need to see if there is a system out there that works with less coding but still has the functionality we need. I am not a coder but a business owner. I need to set the direction for our business and CRE is starting to lose its luster with us. So that is why I posed the question, “How does upgrading to new patches affect the previous Presto version, with the likes of one’s template, modules etc and even with keeping one’s initial Presto install as standard as possible?”
claybourg
I'm with you there. I'm not a coder either but I have learned some PHP so I can have my hands in the code as we have to with CRE (or pay a programmer). It looks like (but only an expert can confirm) Presta has a cleaner base than CRE but you will still need to have greasy hands unless you use all standard code and template, especially now as this is still a young script that is constantly changing. This said, the prestabox sounds just like what you are looking for but I don't know how much that service costs.
