Help changing the search function on default-theme

Hi Prestashoppers,

 

I have a shop where I sell ink cartridges and toners.

What I´ve done is that I´ve created the printer models as categories, and then the ink/toner as products.

 

When creating the products, I have to choose a default category for my products, which will show in the search field (instant search) when people are searching for the ink/toner name.

 

The problem is that the ink/toner usually fits several different printers, and it is confusing for the customers to see the default category that the product is associated with, if that is not the printer that they want to buy the ink/toner for.

 

Is there any option of showing only the product name when using instant search? I can´t find anything on this.
