Help with CMS Block

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have a question regarding CMS block or any modules that applies.

In my prestashop, I saw a CMS block is hooked to displayLeftColumn as well as Footer. But on the website, both are showing 2 different contents. I would like to hook another CMS block but I have no idea how to change the contents inside.

Can anyone teach me where and how I can do it, if I have 2 or more same module being hooked, how do I change their contents inside?

It's because it has a conditional switch depending on the position. It really depends on where you want it, you probably have to amend blockcms.php, add the  new hook's support there, assign a specific variable and target that inside blockcms.tpl to display the new content. Or, even easier, simply display an alternative template. But you need to know php

Hi Nemo,

Thanks for the quick assistance. I understand that the positioning issue.

But I don't quite get what you mean.

I have attached 3 screenshot, but I am amazed by it that I can't find where to edit the content accordingly.

Hope this can clarify.

Hi Nemo,

Thanks for the help. But it's ok now, I have gone another way round it.

Actually it have nothing to do with the clear cache because it's still show the same.

Because I can't change the contents inside the CMS Block and it seems that the CMS block is fixed for footer use only.
