batevladi
After recently moving form the fairly stable 1.1.0.5 to 1.2.5 I found that actually the newer "stable" version is less stable than the old one... I have recently reported a couple of bugs which I am told are now fixed in version 1.3 - but they were not apparent in the 1.1 on the first place.... All I get is the opportunity of go and upgrade to an alpha version when I have already "upgarded" to passable Beta from almost stable original...I have followed the forums lately quite closely, and am afraid to see may people being upset from the current software control and the backward quality that Presta is currently offering. And this observation pains me to read on. For Presta is a very pretty and forward thinking software but I think once reaching maturity, it should keep its steady head on if it wants to take the crown of the opensource shopping carts!I would like to call upon the community to come and join in supporting the Prestashop team in a course to a more stable system, to polish the shine of this jewel of softwaremanship!Lets all help the creators! Post here your encouragements!
blingblingpow
I would never upgrade/ install an A or B release as a 'real' online store.Use as a test, no problem, but not for live stores.
batevladi
Having had the run of 1.2.5 for a few weeks, here is a link of what google found on the efficiency of my updated website, the spike is when I updated from 1.1.0.5 to 1.2.5 (the sudden trough is when my server got crashed... out of memory - something I never had before!)http://screencast.com/t/OTg4ZGRmZ
