How restoring product images after upgrade

Hi, we've successfully manually upgrade from 1,4 to 1.6

Now all product images are missing.

 

Just wanna know if this is the correct procedure to restore it :

 

- Copy all images in ...img/p/ folder

- Set ON Legacy filesystem in "preferences-images

- Click on "move images"

- Set OFF "legacy filesystem"

- Click on "regenerate images"

 

Am I right ?

 

I have more than 800 products (about 5000 images), if the procedure goes in "timeout" should I restart it without missing the images already generated ?
