register addon for "testdomain"

Hi there,

 

is it possible to buy a addon and register it to a test-domain and then change the domain to the live site after the development has been done?

 

I do not want to buy the addon twice, but we need to work in the test-domain first.

Hi Mike, the terms and conditions do restrict you from using the module only on a single store/domain.  If using multi-store, you would need a license for each store.  While the terms and conditions do not specifically mention usage on a "test site" or "test domain", there is the following language when you try to download the module after purchase
 

The module or theme you bought is sold with a single licence, you can use it on one website only. Please fill the field below with the website URL on which the module / theme will be installed. You can install it on a test shop, but this must be the URL of the final website.

 

 

So you can use the module on a test shop, but you must not register the test site as the "final website", as you will not be able to change it.

Bellini gave you the correct answer (thanks ). You can use this addon on a test store, but make sure not to register it as the final store, otherwise the licence won't work.
