Guest
oh so here's the problem i'm having. all of the attributes (in this case, being shirt size) added properly to the product, the drop down menu works fine, but no matter what size you choose, the cart posts all of the attributes in the size group. here's a link:http://doverdragstrip.com/prestashop/product.php?id_product=10any ideas? pcbob
You are creating them as one block, not seperate sizescreate them seperately ie: black - (add ) small - (add) giving you 2 lines in the box. The set the amount and acceptDo this for each size.Or you can use the combination generator - select colour (hold CTRL and select sizes) click add - select quantities then generateHope it helpsBob
Guest
what if colors aren't an option. only sizes...
pcbob
It applies to whatever you highlight to be added, using the generator is the best option for multiple attributes, Create an attribute group - in this group enter your sizes or what ever.Example: Attribute group = SizesAttribute = Small Medium LargeYou have a shirt which only comes in 2 sizes small and large. select combination generator select small, hold down CTRL and select large. click add - enter the amount and click generate.option 2: in the normal attribute section slect group (sizes) select attribute, click add - select quantity and click add attribute. do the same for any other sizes. This way you can have different sizes with different quantities - the combination generator will give the same quantity to allHope it explains it a bit more.Bob

MaryRenee
This information is exactly what I am needing for my new online store (not yet up and running, unfortunately :0) I have been searching for months for a free or inexpensive cart solution that will accomodate my clothing multi attribute needs. I am selling clothing that comes in multiple sizes and lengths per size. Obviously, we sell out of certain lengths and sizes combinations and need a way for inventory control by quantity of each combination. Will this work for my needs with the free version or will I need to budget some extra modifications to be done by hiring a programmer? I am totally new and totally lost on this...I am an old school mainframe programmer turned home-based web business [spam-filter] and learning everything from scratch.Anyways, can anyone direct me in the right direction for simply getting the shopping cart set up, then perhaps go into this a little deeper to help me understand the combination of attributes?I truly appreciate any help you can offer; it will be a huge favor! Thanks and God Bless!MaryFancy Denim Co. MaryRenee
Ok, I now have the prestashop cart running for my first product (testing). I have set up the product attributes, but I am encountering a problem, that may or may not have a solution. When I add the combinations of size 5 available in 33" length, then size 6 available in 34" length, both sizes and both lengths show in the selection boxes. When I select size 5, it still shows 33" length and 34" length in the length selection box. When I click on 34" it shows out of stock (which is correct), but I do not want the 34" to even show when size 5 has been chosen in the 'size' box.I have sizes 4 through 32 in many different lengths, so if my customers have to sort through the lengths and sizes to see what is and isn't in stock, this could get confusing for them.Does anyone have any suggestions for getting this like I need it?I love prestashop from just spending a few hours with it and I have read the WIKI areas about attributes and the attribute generator, but I really hope this one little issue has a solution. I am also willing to hire someone to manipulate this to work as I need it, if necessary!Thank you for the friendly and helpful environment here.God Bless,Mary :cheese:
