No Title in Category Image

Hello

I am using "Image mapping" to upload the main category image but it removes the name title of the category.

Anybody can help me to know how to make it reappear?
 

I am using this image mapping because I want to put 2 different images between the main and thumbnail ones of each category.

Can you share your site's url? Custom template or the default one?

I am working in localhost with a custom template (minimal theme)

 

I have structured the first category as:

• category: illustration
  • subcategory 1: designer 1
  • subcategory 2: designer 2

The image for the subcategory is 820x217 but i want to upload a different image for the thumbnail (260x165) which is shown in the subcategories list of the main category (see pictures below).

My problem is that the thumbnail take the subcategory main picture (820x217) and resizes it for the 260x165 and it looks awful...

I'm trying to follow it (it's quite easy to understand, even for me who have no idea about PHP).

 

Just one question: when you say

 

"To make sure the override works, reach the cache/ and erase class_index.php to enable the new file"

 

do you mean erase the whole php file?

I have delt with it and i have all the steps until "display the new imagen in the template". After this, i can't still see the second image displayed (see picture enclosed)

I guess I have still do the last change in the .htaccess file. I can't find it, please let me know how to do it.

Hm, is the image url pointing to the correct file? Make sure it's writing out correctly, you can try accessing the file by url first, and compare it with the template's output

Could you be more specific? what file, url and template are you mentioning?

Right click on the image, and open the url in a new tab. How does it look like?
Then, in the back office, access the category page, and see the second image directly, compare the 2 urls and see where the front office one fails

But is there any chance that I can have in the same time enabled url and 2 images for the category?

Hm now that I think about it, I think you need a small custom rule added to the .htaccess file. I can't remember how it was now though
