Drop down menu for provinces of Canada in account create area

HI. I was just wondering if it is possible to have a drop down menu for the Canadian provinces in the same manner as it works for the American states. It seems a bit strange that you can't list the province. As a resident of Canada and the US, it's pretty standard for shipping labels. Any ideas on a quick hack for this? I guess it would be very similar to the

Hi,

Go to BO > Shipping > Countries. Edit "Canada", check if the country has the option "Contains states" defined to "Yes"

Then go to BO > Shipping > States and add all the states of Canada. :-)

I am a hosting provider located in Canada and would like to offer this ecommerce software for my clients websites.

A feature I would like to see (which is related to this thread) is the option to be able to select the right word for each political region 'State' or 'Province' or 'Territory' as not all countries have states. Some countries like Canada have provinces and territories, it just does not look right to see 'the state of Ontario' in the addresses or the order forms.

Also it appears that the zones in the full install are by continent however instead of having North America as one of the zones, you have US. Just a note - the US is not North America, there are other countries such as Mexico and Canada as well. I know it is an easy fix for me to do, however it will get tedious if I have to fix this for multiple clients.

I got around the state or province problem by changing where it says "state" to "state / province". It many not be a total fix, but it works for me until the feature becomes available, if ever. BTW you can easily change this copy in the backend, you don't have to go searching around the tpl files.

My problem is the states do not appear for selection when US is chosen as the country. There is a 'blank' country that shows in the country list, and when it is selected, then the states for the US show. I have reviewed the country and state tables, but I cannot see anything that seems out of place. If anyone has come across this and found the solution, I would greatly appreciate it! I haven't yet been able to find any solution, but have run across others with the same problem.
