ejectcore Posted August 3, 2008 Share Posted August 3, 2008 I have not received PM from you so all you have to do is reset the password in the DB using myphpadminthe table you will be updating is ps_employee & the field to update is passwd which uses MD5 which you can generate below ;-) first generate a new password using this linkhttp://www.adamek.biz/md5-generator.phpNext copy & paste the MD5 sample below using test as the string (only copy & paste in bold)md5("test") = "098f6bcd4621d373cade4e832627b4f6"replace your current unknown MD5 password with your new one & then you will be able to loginhope that helps ;-) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

ejectcore Posted August 13, 2008 Share Posted August 13, 2008 Please anyone with this issue help Matt & the Dev-Team resolve this issuethis must be an issue which relates to certain hosts anyone on GODADDY http://www.prestashop.com/bug_tracker/view/178/meanwhile have you a backup of your old settings.inc.php before upgrading if you have followed the instructions carefully you should have this backup, all you need to do as a temporary fix is replace both your COOKIE_KEY & COOKIE IV with the old values although as Matt has said this should not of changed Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Madrilene Posted August 28, 2008 Share Posted August 28, 2008 Hello everybodyi face the same situation :i install prestashop last version, on another PC than the mine, and then injected the saved zipped Data base, and ow i can't connect even if i typped the right login and password !I don't know if it is a bug or if it is something that should be done in the export/import procedure that is not mentionned (in this case i a volunteer to write it down in the Wiki)I try to change the password with md5, but it doesn't work.I don't have my old setting-inc.php because i didn't kwown it was necessary to ave this file when exporting DB (the tutorial doesn't mention it)As a result i should have work on my shop this week, and i can't do anything, too bad :-( I'm quite desesperate (but not hous [spam-filter]) !Is there a solution or is the only thing to do is to wait the time i could return my old PC ???Thank you for helping Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
