Kvesal
I've recently upgraded my eshop from 1.5 to the latest version 1.6. When I try to rebuild my search index not all from my 4500 products get indexed and when I click on "Add missing products to index" I get an internal server error 500. Can someone hlep me please? aberle1
I have the same problem. Building entire index doesn't work as well. htaccess file is OK, must be a bug of 1.6.11 (issues started with 1.6.8 where log in didn't work, that was fixed with 1.6.11 but new problems occur). Changing rights of the file didn't help.
aberle1
I found a "solution": Downgrade to 1.6.8 or earlier and index then. After that process you cabn upgrade. Note: That you can't index then again...

Hi, thank you for your reply. Earlier I found similar topic that was solved by rexindexing the products offline via eMagicOne Prestashop Manager, however this I cannot take as a real solution of the problem we are having. So at this moment I don't want to lable this as "solved". Yes, I have exactly the same symptom you are decribing, I even tried to disable the friendly URLs and turn off the .htaccess on the server, but I till got the same error. And no error log or error message available.
aberle1
Yes, an error log I also didn't find. I tried to exchange the PHP file searchcron.php - didn't help.

aberle1
Update: Can't use PHP 5.2 anymore but it seems obvious that PHP 5.6 is too new for Prestashop (SQL warning messages).

Sickboards
Does anyone know what/how to change in the database such that the new search works, after changing the /classes/search.php (as shown here https://github.com/PrestaShop/PrestaShop/pull/2649/files#diff-4d2b8c521b121179fd17f512b9ffaebc) it works in the BO but not on the website. So you can add the products to your index and then change back to have the search work ...

theniel
I had the same problem. Try to reconfigure you server by setting memory_limit in php.ini. In my case it works when I set to 256M
presta.show
If you have got small memory you add in classes/search.php in line 499 limit clause like example AND '.($id_product ? 'p.id_product = '.(int)$id_product : 'product_shop.indexed = 0 LIMIT 200')
