ogie Posted August 2, 2008 Author Share Posted August 2, 2008 well,if your in the usa try using union st for a customer address , and change the price on Ipod nano to something and it does not change the price in store front , edit a few other things and it won't keep even after saving just simple things like that. and yes i have the latest ver. and yes everything else correct yes it's better than freeway and opencart is way behind, yes I know it's free and that they work hard and when everything is correct it will be the best yet Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I am in the USA and when I select the USA country, the drop down box for the states does not appear. There is a blank selection under USA. When I select it, the drop down for the states does appear.If I select USA (and cannot select a state), I receive the error that the state is required for this country.If I select the blank country and do select an USA state, I get the message 'Hack Attempt'Also, my tax is only for Missouri, but the after tax price is showing all the time.Can anyone help me with this as I would like for my store to go live this weekend!I can be viewed at fancydenim.com/cartThanks! I also thought I had the same problem but I assumed since the states of the U.S. were listed that they were attached to the USA zone. Click each state and make sure the country and zone say US or USA whichever way your zone is named. This is under Shipping -> StatesThe after tax problem I believe is a setting in the Preferences -> Products -> Display pre-tax price on product page:Hope this helps! I am not going to be able to use prestashop to start my online store unless this can be corrected somehow, as I am already starting to look for another solution as I am totally a beginner and I cannot figure this out myself. Thanks in advance for anyone that has experienced this and knows what the fix might be!Prestashop is by far the best cart I have seen, I just need a little guidance in order to be able to get around this problem! nerdygurl Posted September 18, 2008 Share Posted September 18, 2008 Heya Mary i was having issues with my shipping set up today too no matter what i did i couldnt get to work but now i hve fixed it, maybe we could butt heads n see if we can fix yours do you have msn?? one thing i have found is that even though on install all the countrys n states are there there is no actual link between them if the states arent asigned to the usa country it would not allow the drop down as it wouldnt know it is needed if you understand what i mean? if they are all linked i will go through my files and see if there is something for that particular drop down menu Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yes, I have clicked on the 'edit' button for each state now and made sure the correct country and zone are assigned. I've also reviewed the country and state tables checking for anything there that might stand out as 'out of place'. As far as I can tell it all seems set up right.It is strange because when I first started my webstore, I setup a test customer and it all worked just fine. After setting up my shipping prices and adding my products, I noticed this problem. I'm not sure exactly what changes or additions triggered the issue.I appreciate all of your suggestions and help.
