How to export and import database the right way?

HI,

 

I try to export and import my database to put my store live... but something's missing, I got all the images, logo, text, etc... but there are 1 besides others, like my sliders got all the photo down of each others... that's kinda weird.

 

I don't know why but I know it's from the database, i'm a noob at this to clarify it

 

p.s. I did change my domains in the database, it's not that problem.

Could you share your site's url? How did you move to the live version, besides importing the database? Uploaded files manually?

I compresses the local htdocs folder and extracted it using the goDaddy Control Panel (file Manager) to the test directory of my website. Faster than transferring 9000 files using filezilla.

 

I used the default setting of phpmyadmin to export and import my database.

 

Changed my domain in database (ps_configuration) to optimumvape.ca/test. both http & https

Changed my domain in database (ps_shop_url) to optimumvape.ca and added (test) in subfolder

 

*also tried to generate an .htaccess file by updating seo & url. No luck. (the generation goes well but didn't change anything)

*I can access my BO (it's also messy) not as much as the website but... looks like the same problem.

GoGranny huh... ugh.
I take it as it's the hosting's fault.
Try checking config/settings.inc.php as well for any subfolder added to it as main folder, it was kinda off before 1.5.6, if you are using an older version
