Backend Cache Issues after upgrade from 1.6.0.9 to 1.6.0.11

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

Strange issue I am having using Chrome (default browser):

1) Did a cPanel full backup

2) Put shop in maintenance mode
3) Disabled Cache (both top [smarty] and bottom [cache] of performance page)

4) Upgraded all modules

5) Ran 1 click upgrade and it completed successfully with no warnings/errors

6) Re-logged in and put shop in live mode

And now for the kicker:

7) Tried to enable smarty cache > click Yes and save, doesnt save! No matter which of the 3 options I select

8) Click Yes on Use Cache at the bottom of the page, doesnt save! Doesnt even show the options once I click yes, so I cant even try variable options.

9) I also noticed that my dashboard isnt populating?

I've tried clearing cache and I've tried logging in/out.

After all this, I booted up IE (which I never use - just for testing) and its working fine there. Went back to Chrome and tried another force refresh and now its working.

Anyway, just thought I'd share in case anyone else gets this issue. Clearly some kind of local backend cache of something or other.
