kauaianken
Inside Product>Edit >SEO it says: The product link will look like this http://starmen.com/shop/lang/281-gift-of-breath.html Yet, when I got to the product in the shop, the url is this: http://starmen.com/shop/essence-media/281-gift-of-breath.html …and I get a blank page When I turn on errors, I get this: Fatal error: in /shop/tools/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_templatecompilerbase.php on line 65 ...and I find that line 65 refers to an “array”. I've already tried most of the "blank page" solutions offered in this forum. Any new clue? NOTE: I'm using 1.6, and recently changed the language. I first disabled, then deleted Japanese. kauaianken
In other words, the SEO link goes to a language (/lang) folder, while the shop link goes to a category (essence-media) folder. This happened inadvertently while tweaking the language module. It's not clear how to reset the links. BTW, I've tried simply turning smarty off, but no change. Wouldn't it be grand if prestashop had an undo button for cases like this... Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!
kauaianken
Any ideas, anyone? I keep trying everything I/we can think of...
kauaianken
<SOLVED!> Who knew? Simply reinstalling the shop eliminated this annoying error with only a few additional tweaks required to get the shiop back up and running. On uploading the latest Prestashop package, I simply did an FTP overwrite of all files and folders. I had no idea what would happen, yet I was sufficiently frustrated with my inability to solve (or get help solving) this problem that I was willing to start all over if necessary. Thankfully, the database loaded with all prior tweaks, and away we go! I can't believe this suggestion has not appeared elsewhere! I see so many suggestions for finding some obscure file and modifying some obscure code. Yet, at least in my case, a simple overwrite sufficed.
