Force USD currency help pelase

Hello everyone, i hope i can explain this right so that some one can help me.

On my old Prestashop version 1.4.0.9 on Payment tab, i was able to force the customer paying only in USD in case i needed for.

Basically i just selected USD and then all checkouts would be finished in USD currency, from paypal express checkout or normal checkout with Paypal.

Now with the new version 1.6 everytime i pick the option USD only, on the checkout it says "no payment modules have been installed", ive been looking arround but no solution so far, not to mention that i only use Paypal as payment method. In the other hand if i select on payment the option "customer currency" it works, but i realy dont want this option because mostly we use EUR as currency and USD only when we need some USD balance.

Can anyone help me with this, do i need to setup a new carrier or anything like that?

Thank you all

Kind Regards

you have selected in your 1.6 'shop default currency', what is shop default currency?

all your shop currencies are supported by Paypal, then why have you not not selected customer currency?

I am somewhat familiar with 1.4.6.2 and I could not force usd or another currency....so I can't help with 1.4.0.9 or maybe old mod.

yes, well nobody remembers really how 1409 worked...sorry.....I asked what you default shop currency is...if it's not USD, then you would not see paypal if USD not selected.

also I made point that all your shop insurgencies are supported by paypal, then why not just set to customer currency....

please try to respond to all points, since we can't just sit together over coffee to discuss...it's important to follow along all questions.

Hello

Let me try again, on my old prestashop version 1.4.0.9 everytime i needed some USD currency on my Paypal, i only needed to change on the Payment tab the option USD as you can see on the images i posted.

On this new version 1.6 everytime i need USD i was suposed to do the same, but when i do that, and a customer does a normal checkout without changing the currency to USD on the site the payment module dopes not show up, which was not needed on the old version, even when a customer used EUR as checkout, upon paypal payment page it will be in USD.

Now it does not work on this new version :(

Well first of all read this page:

http://alvinjiang.blogspot.nl/2010/10/prestashop-tips-how-to-set-currency.html

Also read this page please, as this might be affecting these problems.

They stopped supporting SSLV3 and started working with TLS (this might affect the fixed currency problem?)

Let me know if this helped anything.

Hello

I guess no one is getting to understand my problem.

My current version is Prestashop 1.6 and the defayult currency works just great, all customers can pay in Euros, but if i chose ONLY USD currency, the payment modules are gone and i cannot receive money in USD, on my old version 1.4 it was working just fine

Kind Regards

@PC33,

I have a strange feeling that due the upgrade some table such as module_currency did not get populated properly.

Do you have the knowledge to check such? If not pv me so I'll access your database and try to figure out what happened.

And I disagree with some other comments, a lot of people do remember how those beauty such as PS 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5 worked.

Also double check that on "modules > payment", the various currencies are ticked on the restriction panel. The panel is just below the commercial advertisement flood  about Addons modules and before the group restriction panel.

Best

have you tried to disable each module one by one to test it out over and over again?

It might be that one of the modules is conflicting.

You can test this by going to your FTP folder modules and change each folder it's name with a _ at the end.

Like this: blablablock_

Just do one each time, refresh the website and check if it works. If not remove the _ and try it on the next module.

Keep this going until you find the culprit, or until you have done all modules without any results.

If one of the modules is conflicting let us know, so we can try to help you better.
