supersudsme
Hi,Just thought I'd post this for any other people who may encounter this problem because, while there's a tonne of posts on this it took a long time to get find a resolution. When you follow the installation guide to the letter and change the appropriate folder/file permissions accordingly (I used FileZilla FTP client which enables you to change permissions with a simple right click), you may come up against a red cross/error against sitemap.xml for the permission setting (should be 777 i.e. read, write, execute permission right across the board) on step 2 of the installation - 'System Compatibility - System & Permissions'I spent a good while changing, checking, deleting and re-uploading sitemap.xml but to no avail. The solution in this case was TO CLOSE THE FTP CLIENT I was using and leave the process to 'do its thing' in the background. i.e. DO NOTHING!For some reason, sitemap.xml's permissions seem to lag and take a while to validate server side.So if you come across this same problem, don't try reloading/resetting permissions etc. etc. Having uploaded your files to your web server/web host, & correctly changed the permissions. Close the client and wait 10-20 mins.Have a coffee. Relax & chill. Go back to your broswer and refresh. From what I have seen on this issue, this should resolve most cases of this occurring. If it doesn't my apologies.
