Differents invoice's footer text

Hi to all,

I need to show different text in the footer of the invoice depending on {$order_invoice->date_add}

If an invoice is older than a specific date I need to write a different vat number.

What can I do?

Footer.tpl seems to not accept {$order_invoice->date_add}

There are no order data sent to the template.
