n_s_simpson
Hi, I think my original post may have been in the wrong section: https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/400267-categories-are-wiped-on-import/?do=findComment&comment=1945120 I have a store with over 4000 products and each product is filed into different categories. Whenever I import a CSV with new buy/sell pricing and stock it wipes out all the category selections for each product. Does anyone have any ideas on how to stop this happening? NemoPS
Are you setting a 'categories' column when importing? To blank?
n_s_simpson
Hi Nemo1 The CSV file doesn't include the categories and we only map to data in the CSV so we haven't selected categories and mapped it to nothing if that makes sense. I've attached two images to show you exactly what we do. On the first page (IMPORT1) the only option I set to "YES" is the "Use product reference as key". I don't really understand what "Force all ID numbers" does so I leave that and all the other options set to "NO". On the second page (IMPORT2) the columns are matched correctly and there are no additional columns to see. (i.e. pressing the < or > doesn't reveal any extra columns). NemoPS
It seems to be mapped correctly, can you do a small test with ids? A single line, same rows, just use the product ID as identifier and force the id. Do not erase previous entries, of course. See it that only product gets messed up
n_s_simpson
Hi Nemo1 We'll have a go at doing that at some point next week. In the meantime my IT [spam-filter] managed to figure out how to change the prices directly within the tables instead. Just need to figure out how to change the quantity and that might be the better solution anyway.
NemoPS
Directly in the database? should be the product_shop table, or product_attribute_shop if you use combinations
