KasperR90
Hello, I try to install a downloaded module but when i open the module page, it says that: Can I add my own modules? Please note that for security reasons, you can only add modules that are being distributed on PrestaShop Addons, the official marketplace. Why can't i import a module and is there another way to do it? Thanx.
Paulito
Hello If you mean this pop-up message http://screencast.com/t/rfyILOjuzrU then Prestashop is basically saying that it has not been bought from the official Add-ons store. If you are happy with the module and developer then just click "Proceed with the installation Paul

Paulito
Hello again If you are not using Prestashop Cloud then Yes Paul
samyha
Hello KasperR90, Indeed, only the modules coming from the PrestaShop Addons marketplace can be installed on PrestaShop Cloud, for security reasons. If you are using the download version and that you trust the developer who developed the module you're trying to install, then just click on "Proceed with the installation". This pop up is just a security warning too .I hope we answered all your question. Don't hesitate to ask me if you have some others. Have a nice day!
Koshin
Hello, i will use this topic with my question. I made my own module. On my localhost everything is ok. But when i try to install it on production server, i have problem. First i have warning that module is not from prestashop addons store - ok. then i confirm, that i want to install it anyway. And then i got other message. That i cannot install this module, becouse i am not logged to PrestaShop Addons and it could not update this module. I know its not on PrestaShop Addons, it module to my own, and i will use it on one store only. How can i install my module? Prestashop version 1.6.0.13 Best Regards. scarab1980
Hi guys, Please help.... Same issue with the 3rd party app. I downloaded the app from the store, it was free, developed by certified partners of petrashop. The app actually appears in the list on the back office but only has a $0.00 icon and no install or download option. This redirects me to the Petrashop marketplace where I download the module, but I have no option to install it or even browse for it on the back office. ???

scarab1980
Don't see how it's different as i also couldn't find an obvious way to install the downloaded module. Exactly the same as the very first post. I created an FTP user and went the manual route but noted.
Paulito
Hello Just to clarify The original post was about a "Pop-Up" showing when you have not bought the module from the "Add-Ons" store, not his inability to upload the module. I created an FTP user and went the manual route but noted. The difference is that you purchased a module from the addons store. The OP created his own custom module that is NOT on the addons store.
