mama2many
I run 2 stores with Prestashop. One store uses PayPal v1.6 the other uses PayPal API. These are linked to 2 separate PayPal accounts - both of which are set to "ON" in allow checkout with out account under the Profile/Website Payment Prefs in PayPal.When going through to PayPal from v1.6 it works and gives customers the option to checkout without creating a PayPal account. But with PayPal API they are forced to create a PayPal account.PayPal states "PayPal Account OptionalWhen this feature is turned on, your customers will go through an optimized checkout experience. This feature is available for Buy Now, Donations, and Shopping Cart buttons, but not for Subscription buttons."Is there something in the PayPal API module that is bypassing this? Paul C
Gut feeling is the PayPal API module must need to enable/disable that option although I would have thought the default should be whatever is in your PayPal account preferences....Haven't looked at the API module much but if you've still got the problem after I've had a chance to nosey I'll try and post a fix.Paul
mama2many
Thanks Paul. I wouldn't even know where to begin to look for the problem.
