n_s_simpson
Hi, we're having an issue with our product categories on our PS store. We sell printers and consumables so for instance have created 100's of categories that shows which inks go in a specific printer. Anyway, when we import a CSV which only has reference, buy price, sell price and quantity it wipes the categories from every product in the CSV. Does anyone know why this is happening? We've definitely mapped the fields correctly. The only option we enable before import is "Use product reference as key". Cheers Nick P.S. For now we'll have to copy the ps_category_product table, do the import and then paste the table back. Bit of a faff though. n_s_simpson
Hi, is there anyone out there that can help? In the import section if I select Products, select the file to upload and set "Use product reference as key" to YES. I then go to the next step and correctly map reference, buy price, sell price and quantity. When I run that operation it resets the category of every product to home so at this point I have a load of empty categories. We then have to manually restore the MySQL table data (which we back up before running the import). The only option I'm wondering about is "Force all ID numbers". That's set to NO but is that where we're going wrong or is there a fault within PS?
parsifal
What is your PS version? For latest official version as of this time (1.6.0.11), have a look here: https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/397193-solved-product-category-wrongly-assigned-to-home-in-csv-import I have NOT tried this fix yet and CANNOT confirm whether it's working or will work in your case... n_s_simpson
Hi Parsifal, thanks for your import. Is this fix the same as this one: http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/PSCSX-4592 We've got the file and there's a ton of changes to the code. I'll test it over the weekend once I've done a backup and I'll let you know. Cheers Nick
parsifal
Hi Nick. Judging by a quick MD5 checksum check, these two files are NOT the same.
