default language on the main root

Hi there,

 

I'd like my default language is rdirect on the main root basically http://puntoit-store.it instead of  http://puntoit-store.it/it/

(subfolder)

 

I set up the multilingual  english and italian on my shop.

 

then I selected italian as my default language.

 

so now i have 

• http://puntoit-store.it/it/
• http://puntoit-store.it/en/

 

Since Italian is my default language I'd like it is rdirect on http://puntoit-store.it and so on for any pages such as  http://puntoit-store.it/43-telefonia instead of http://puntoit-store.it/it/43-telefonia

 

any help is appreciated :-)

This behavior is default in latest versions of PrestaShop. I have seen many commentaries about that and it is better for SEO to have both /it/ and /en/ parts in the URL. It helps search engines to understand the language.
