Major change needed for the forum

I like the new look of the forums, BUT for me there is a major issue, not being able to easily see new / updated posts. And I think this means that many posts are never seen by many people

 

I can use this link to see new items:

But how many people know of that? Not many

 

So, make a small change to the forum for a major impact on usefulness. Add that link so that it is very prominent and easy to see. So that any users coming to the forum can click "New posts" and see them

 

It needs to be loud and proud on the main page, but also on every page
