Guest Posted January 27, 2015 Share Posted January 27, 2015 What with the forums changing making it very hard to see new content without navigating every sub forum (meaning many people will never see your questions) and the on-line chat on the addons site, communicating with prestashop colleagues is getting very hard! On-line chat is a total waste of time. Either they cannot help, or give generic answers, or they totally ignore you. The number of times I have initiated a chat, received the ""Hello! How can I assist you today?"" and then get totally ignored - this gives prestshop a bad name. The addon modules are far too diverse for unknowledgable "chat agents" to be able to help, it is just giving prestashop a bad name. Ditch them! It is totally horrible, or at the very least remove the staff images and keep the thing minimised. Really dislike the chat function. Twice I tried to use it and both times the window was closed (a problem with a module purchase). As if the chat staff know anything about any given module anyway. What was I thinking.. I'm sorry your experience with Addons was bad, but that line is not true, not fair. Our people answering on the Chat system are experts. How can I assist you with your purchase? Did you file a ticket through the contact form and it didn't get answered? If you haven't, please do, on Addons.prestashop.com, through the "I have an issue with a purchase" category in the contact form. jetx Posted February 18, 2015 Share Posted February 18, 2015 Yes correct. Some months ago I was having a problem with a purchase and developer who refused a refund. The request was reasonable so I attempted to use the online chat widget after being prompted "we are here to help" or something similar, so ok I figured give it a go and I duly entered several paragraphs of text explaining the situation. Very quickly the widget closed. So I figured maybe they just happened to go offline. So while browsing other mods another prompt to chat appeared, so being a sucker for punishment I completed the form a second time. The widget immediately closed. Therefore I conclude that it was deliberate. There was no explanation. It was rude. I therefore would never contemplate using the chat function ever again.
