Upgrading 1.3.2.3 to 1.6.0.11

Recommended Posts

Hi !

I have to upgrade a prestashop from 1.3.2.3 to 1.6.0.11... Stop laughing !

I have tried to upgrade to the last version using 1-Click Upgrade. Of course, it didn't work.

I have tried to upgrade to a lower version than the last one, using 1-Click Upgrade, but I had also an error 500. And I tried to follow topics to fix this issue, without success (no error displayed, even if I change .htaccess or if I display errors in PHP).

Here is ma question : is it better to use 1-Click Upgrade in ma case ? The website has to be redesigned. Maybe it is better to use a new Prestashop version and import old data (products, visits, orders, payments...) in it ?

Thank's for your great help  :)

Alex

Error 500 is too vague.  You would need to work with your hosting provider to determine what is causing this.  Could be a memory limitation, could be that the process is running too long and it is being killed.

In situations like this, I usually install the store on localhost using WAMP which would impose no restrictions.  Then I run the upgrade on my localhost.  Once it is complete, you can simply copy the localhost store back to your server.

I would focus on getting the upgrade to work.  Migrating data from old to new is not a trivial exercise.  If you are looking for paid upgrade services, feel free to send me a PM for an estimate

No laughing. I did the same using 1-Click upgrade. It worked without any problem on my local computer. My workflow was to create the local copy, upgrade, did all changes, test, upload to the server.
