Tionne
Hello everyone, customers of our shop just discovered a problem I have not been aware of yet. We sell downloadable PDFs, which are layered and equipped with bookmarks for the user's convenience. But now it seems that when uploaded to the shop system, the pdf files lose all those features and only the plain pdf remains. We use a pdf stamping plugin, which adds a line of text to the pdf if the customer downloads it, but the loss of bookmarks etc. seems to occur before that, because when I download the files from the PrestaShop backend, the bookmarks are already lost. How can this be? Any help here would be greatly appreciated! We are working with PrestaShop 1.6.0.9 at the moment.
tuk66
I think it is not possible in PrestaShop itself. Uploaded PDFs are managed like any other binary files. There is no way (library) how to open a PDF for editing. So the PDF stamping plugin can perhaps cause the problem.
Tionne
You're right, I contacted the developer of the module and he admitted that it caused the problem. So it seems I was a bit hasty in posting this here - sorry! (I don't know what the usual process is here - the topic can be closed, dear moderators, if you want ) (In case anyone is interested in the details: The module I use is called "PDF Stamp+" and the developer is now working on a solution.)
