Gutted it stopped again
Edit History
Hi Pascal,
Absolutely gutted, it stopped working again
To answer your questions
1) i think i wrote a different paypal version (older version) in a previous post because at that moment when i checked we were probably trying out an older paypal module just incase (which didnt work) BUT, we've used the latest version of the paypal module for months now, and it always worked. When we upgraded we already had the latest version, it worked after the upgrade too (for a few days).
2) Yes we use the latest version now.
So as per my previous post after weeks of not being able to fix paypal we bit the bullet and installed an old prestashop backup version (which was 1.4.7), and had to upgrade prestashop again and our paypal problem was finally fixed, JOY!!! (for about 48 hours)
Thn, exactly the same sequence of events as last time (2 weeks ago)
We upgrade, from 1.4.7 to 1.6.0.11 of prestashop
Using the latest version of paypal before and after the upgrade (paypal europe)
receive paypal orders PERFECTLY for a few 1-2 days as its the weekend and our developer is not working.
Then he starts work (saturday morning) and starts going through the tasks one by one, simple front end tasks like changing the colors of this and that, changing the width of stuff etc and the same day paypal stops working. Just to be clear i'm not blaming our developer, but something is going wrong when he starts to work on the site (front end design changes).
When this happened two weeks ago eg, we upgrade prestashop, paypal works perfect for 2 days, developer starts to work on the site and same day paypal stops working, we did a similar set of front end changes. Ill post his list of changes below.
Also i kept a log for the first 24 hours of changes i made in the back office, non of these changes had a negative effect on paypal or orders (log below) because paypal continued to work after these changes.
As soon as the paypal payment error was noticed we also noticed the below screenshot error if you try to change your address in the checkout ''Technical error.......''
One last note, when i go to Back Offoce > Modules > Positions > and click the ''Show'' drop down tab at the top of the lists of modules, paypal is not there?
