jsmit2
I have build a module that requires the Prestashop cronjob module to ping a certain file every hour. Everything is setup, my code works but the cronjobs plugin does not do what it is supposed to do. Tested on: 1.6.0.11 1.6.0.9 I only get this message: An error occurred while trying to contact PrestaShop's cron tasks webservice. Does anyone know why / how to fix? mytheory.
Hi, Sorry I don't use the module. I however use cronjob but via our server cPanel. Is it something that absolutely requires this module? Wouldn't the preferred (more reliable) method be setting up cronjob via cPanel? Also, considering the error message, maybe it has something to do with webservices... maybe you need to enable it or set it up? Sorry I couldn't be of more help. jsmit2
Well I want to put the module online on the store or for free. Some people dont know how to use this service. So I wanted to make it easier for them
mikewra
If this module would help with db backup and clear cache, I'd be very interested. I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to get those cron jobs working. But, as for the cron module itself, in my PSv1.6.9 the cron module v1.2.4 does work, it is running updates on the sitemap and there have been no errors. And my webservice is disabled under Advanced Parameters -> Webservice. So I'm not sure that webservice would be playing a role.
ubergirl2
My cronjob module doent work either. Do I have to change permissions on a folder or something? I have PS 1.6.0.11 with cronjobs 1.2.4. My web server has a special setup and I don't have a cpanel access. Is there a special config that has to be done on the server for this to run? (I would transmit this to my sys admin)
