scbawik
Hi! I first posted this question in german forum last week, but I don't think I'll get an answer there.https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/394345-kategoriebezeichnung-in-suche-berücksichtigen/ I want to include the category names as keywords for my products.e.g.: Clothing -> Shirt 001Clothing -> Shirt 002Clothing -> Shirt 003 Now, when I search for "Clothing" no result shows up.I know, I could include "Clothing" in product description to get it correctly indexed, but that's not a good solution. I also could try to modify classes/Search.php::find, but I'm not sure if this is an upgrade proof solution. It would be also great, if the category keywords work recursive.e.g.: Clothing -> Men -> Tops -> T-Shirts -> Shirt 001 works for "Clothing", "Men", "Tops", "T-Shirts" and "Shirt 001" as search terms. Alejandrosi
Hi scbawik, Have you found a solution? Thanks
musicmaster
The category name is standard part of your search terms. This is defined in the backoffice in Preferences->Search and then at the bottom under the header "Weight". The default category weight is 3. Check what it is for you. Alejandrosi
Hi musicmaster, Thanks for your response. Even though the category weight is 3, the search should return information if it doesn´t find it in the other "heavier" search labels (product name, description, etc.) Anyway, I changed the weight but it still don´t work.
