edarioq
Hi, noob developer here. Trying to build my first Prestashop site for a client. Couple of things I need help with, for which after much searching I can't seem to find via good old Google. First off, I'm looking for built in functionality or modules that can help me save some time. I need: 1. Logged in visitors to be able to download a PDF price list of the store. 2. Any visitor to download a PDF catalog of the store. Either pointing me to the right direction, link, or forum post is greatly appreciated it, much thanks. ALSO, the budget doesn't allow for anything paid, only FREE... PS - Why is it that all modules I seem to find are paid, there aren't many free ones, such as in WordPress. Rolige
Hi edarioq, PrestaShop is more complicated than Wordpress and is led to commerce, this simple points makes a big difference, same case with Magento, if you search something for Magento, the price will be even higher. There is a old module to create a catalog in PDF, but is old, maybe you will have to buy a payment module, here some of them: http://catalogo-onlinersi.net/en/modules-ps-11-to-16/50-prestapdf-prestashop-module.html http://addons.prestashop.com/en/export-modules/13508-export-pdf-catalog-15-ps-15-16.html http://www.storecommander.com/en/prestashop-modules/308-pdf-catalog-module-25.html (I think this have a free version, not sure) Regards
edarioq
So what you're saying basically is that no GOOD/DECENT module is free in prestashop... I'll either have to buy something or code it myself.
Dh42
I think he is saying that complicated modules are not free.
El Patron
So what you're saying basically is that no GOOD/DECENT module is free in prestashop... I'll either have to buy something or code it myself. there are 'many' free modules, please use google to search for modules that suit your needs. if there is not a free module for your application you can open a feature request to PrestaShop developers here. And yes you may have to buy a module to create what one hopes is a for profit shop or code yourself, you can learn more about module development here.
