How to Upload Old Data Files (Products, Categories and every thing) in New Prestashop

Hi,

I am using prestashop since 2013 , but still need to lear alot, i have update my website from prestashop 1.5 to 1.6, after updating there were many error and i tried to get them fixed, but couldnt, i have backup of my Prestashop1.5 website with all the products in .zip format. but at the moment nothing is in my domain/server, i have deleted all the files from server and have backup in my hard drive, can any one help me to use myy older version data with the newer version of prestashop, i want to display all my old products (Shop Item) in this new version.

tried alot by installing prestashop 1.6 from cpanel to my server and then uploading prestashop 1.5 backup files by FTP, but this is not working,
