Weasel
Patricio, Paypal doesn't work in Chile, They don´t have a latam versión, we had to make changes in code level to operate correctly in Chile. So with this module you can: Set store currency to 'local currency' (DOP in my case). Have the exchange rates of the store automatically update? (local currency = 1) Have customers check out in the local currency and they are charged the correct amount in USD? Do you have a demo setup? Is the module working on 1.6.1? Thanks K. Vikthor
1. Yes, you can use currency DOP2. You can do it manually , this is done on location - Currency andyou click the button "Update exchange rates " , and can alsoautomatically putting a url that is on the same page at the end inyour crontab file3. Yes, but you must put in your store the currencies of the countriesthat buy you so they can see prices in your currency .Actually I have a producto demo, its cost 0,01 usd, but not pay for it, its only a DEMO of Paypal, you could see it in my ecommerce www.brochure.cl Regards. Weasel
I tried the PayPal express button on the bottom of the page. I choose either CLP or DOP and this happens: Error occurred: Please try to contact the merchant: PayPal response: TIMESTAMP -> 2015-07-14T21:45:07Z L_ERRORCODE0 -> 10605 L_SHORTMESSAGE0 -> Transaction refused because of an invalid argument. See additional error messages for details. L_LONGMESSAGE0 -> Currency is not supported L_SEVERITYCODE0 -> Error If I choose USD I get to the paypal payment screen. So, it's not solving the problem. Let me know if you have a fix, please.Also... I tried yesterday evening to put the module in the cart with CLP (29k) and the paypal payment screen did ask for 46.xx USD. So, yesterday night (~7pm my time) it worked. If you made any changes after 8pm your time yesterday night, (either in the module or your site setup) that's what is causing the error. And here the whole in Spanish, curtesy Google Translate: Probé el botón expreso de PayPal en la parte inferior de la página. Elijo cualquiera CLP o DOP y esto sucede: Error occurred: Please try to contact the merchant: PayPal response: TIMESTAMP -> 2015-07-14T21:45:07Z L_ERRORCODE0 -> 10605 L_SHORTMESSAGE0 -> Transaction refused because of an invalid argument. See additional error messages for details.
Weasel
OK!!! We progressed a bit. I could go through the 5-page checkout (having the store set on CLP) and the PayPal checkout came up ok in USD. I made the payment for 2 modules (I need it for two sites). But then I ran into some new problem: When I clicked the button 'Confirm' to return to your site the page came up blank. The payment was made, I checked on PayPal. There is no previous order in my customer account. I didn't receive any emails from your site for the purchase. I did receive the sign-up email earlier. I also checked spam, just in case. The page still shows the 2 modules in my cart. So, I paid, but I have no download links ------------------------------ Second part: the Express Checkout. If i'm logged out (guest) the following error comes up if I try to check out through the PayPal Button on the bottom of the product page: Error occurred: Please try to contact the merchant: PayPal response: TIMESTAMP -> 2015-07-15T02:28:43Z L_ERRORCODE0 -> 10605 L_SHORTMESSAGE0 -> Transaction refused because of an invalid argument. See additional error messages for details. L_LONGMESSAGE0 -> Currency is not supported L_SEVERITYCODE0 -> Error If I'm logged in as an existing customer, the error message is different. Error occurred: Please try to contact the merchant: PayPal response: TIMESTAMP -> 2015-07-15T02:24:17Z L_ERRORCODE0 -> 10401 L_ERRORCODE1 -> 10426 L_ERRORCODE2 -> 10431 L_ERRORCODE3 -> 10605 L_SHORTMESSAGE0 -> Transaction refused because of an invalid argument. See additional error messages for details. L_SHORTMESSAGE1 -> Transaction refused because of an invalid argument. See additional error messages for details. L_SHORTMESSAGE2 -> Transaction refused because of an invalid argument. See additional error messages for details. L_SHORTMESSAGE3 -> Transaction refused because of an invalid argument. See additional error messages for details. L_LONGMESSAGE0 -> Order total is invalid. L_LONGMESSAGE1 -> Item total is invalid. L_LONGMESSAGE2 -> Item amount is invalid. L_LONGMESSAGE3 -> Currency is not supported L_SEVERITYCODE0 -> Error L_SEVERITYCODE1 -> Error L_SEVERITYCODE2 -> Error L_SEVERITYCODE3 -> Error So, I guess you should disable the Express Checkout for now. P.S. I found this #21 might be a solution for the Express Checkout?? Edited July 15, 2015 by Weasel (see edit history)
