may1964
Hi All. I have recently installed Prestashop v. 1.6.09-2 and front-end and back-office seem to be working fine with the bootstrap-default theme. However, when I try to add a new theme, I continually get the "BAD CONFIGURATION FILE" message. I have tried using the three different methods (Import from Web, FTP and Computer) and I have also tried these processes with three different free Themes from different developers. Same message. I know this question has been dealt with extensively before but all the Q/As I've been able to find and the Web don't seem to resolve the issue (and I'm about ready with the white flag.) As a starting point, could somebody please confirm what the packing (or nesting) should be of the downloaded .ZIP files (plus any pointers as to any required contents of the config.xml). I have tried various suggestions of rezipping, unzipping, etc. but I have the feeling that something is fundamently wrong. I have attached one of the theme zip files I downloaded so you can see its structure/content. Many thanks for helpling an ol' guy. And have great holidays! fishing_theme3.zip
