Order Editor is a must

After working with OsCommerce i switched for 1 webshop to Prestashop.
Now working for a couple of months with Prestashop i am really excited.
Works good and fast and many options to work with, BUT.

In order for Prestashop to draw more OsCommerce users or ZenCart users there is one option that would be o so neccessary and that is to edit orders after a customer made an buy.
Many customers have additions after buying our produtcs, or like to have it delivered instead of pickup when ready.
We sell Scooters and pimp-up parts for scooters, so it would be good if we could edit orders and add additinal options or change pickup into delivering so that customers can see the changed order, otherwise the storekeeper is spending a lot of time emailing the changes.

A great chance for Prestashop to make an adjustment to do so, we would appriciate it end with us a lot of prestashop webmasters, and a nice feature to get a bigger installed base when OsCommerce and/or ZenCart users make the step to Prestashop.

For the time being, One page checkout module and Anonymous / Guest Product comments module are offered, but there is more to come, for example: Back-office order editor, automatic products availability update according to supplier delivery dates.


Perhaps you should get in touch and see if this is just an aspiration or likely to turn into a real product soon.

Yes we often have customers changing colours, or sometimes we have exchanges and it would be great to reflect this change in their order history somehow


check out orlique from silbersaiten, see http://www.prestashop-module.de/lang-en/features-backend/78-orlique-der-order-manager.html. not free but truly powerful, can do more for the money than other modules as this one not only lets you edit existing orders but also add new orders. plus, it is supposed to change every and all respective recurrences/instances of what you change, i.e. invoice is changed as well as order history as far as I understand the description. still testing it myself but so far I really like what I see and got for my money.

Not too happy with Orlique Order Manager here. We have several customers who check the web site and then decide to call, wanting to place the order over the phone. We hoped that OM will do the trick however, we learned that many times we can’t save the order. While editing existing orders, products we add are not listed, just total order price is changing. Invoice remains unchanged. Can’t even bring it back to what it was before, since items added are not listed. Method of payment is limited to whatever the shop was configured to. No choice, should the payment be processed by card reader on the desk (since the customer is on the phone) or simply cash. First impression was fantastic, but after a while we realised that in our environment, module does not make sense, not speaking about architecture flows. Technical support next to nothing. Slow. Wait time on live chat endless. In my opinion, module needs another year two of growing before it can be send to work. Just like very many others we can see around. Several companies and developers are trying to make a living by selling the modules. Probably 2-5% of them know what they are doing.

interesting, haven't gotten to that point (yet). possibly because I take no orders over phone? all changes are possible. a pity they did not react timely, I never had any issues with theit support.

I'm using Orlique for more than a month (actually since it was first published) and I have lot of phone orders.
Sometmes, also products are not available in the shop at all. I never notived any problems with calculationg my orders with Orlique, invoices are always generated correctly.
I used many differnt modules, but this one is one of the best uns most usefull modules ever been made for prestashop

As for the payment method selection, it's right, taht there is no "free" method selectable. I apply my phone customers to a separate custopmer grroup und select payments that are not available for the other customers. Thats the way I solve the "problem"

Never had problems with the support. Well, sometimes, mails are not directly answered, but its ok. Finally, the support is always available.
