Thumbnail images disppearing when select a size

Hi,

When selecting a size,the thumbnail images of the products on the left is disppearing.

I know this is caused by no selecting the images on the BO conbination tag when add an attribute,
it can be solved manualy.But what if there are thounds of products and 4 more attributes for each?

This is the problem,I have to fix it by batch operation. can anyone tell how could I do this?
