Maintain long Category Names but Display Abbreviated Names in Menus

Hi all,

I have long category and sub-category names that look bad in the main menu and drop downs. I need to keep the long names for descriptive and SEO purposes but would like to improve the look of the main menu/drop down by having it display an abbreviated title. 

Can someone point me in the right direction? I've tried to do this on techworldnet.com, you'll see most categories are abbreviated making the menu look nice but the page title once there is too short.

Hi Brendezzu, did you ever resolve this?

The only work round I can see is a messy one:

 

1. shorten your category names as required
2. On the category page hide the acutal title using CSS
3. Add in the description your own title using a <h1>tag</h1>

If anyone has a better solution, please say :-)
