cant download files for backup & upgrade

Hello.

 

After ftp downloading my entire site, some file transfers kept giving me (Permission denied and Error:    Critical error).

 

Transfers denied:

Any idia why and how i can fix it? Im using version 1.4.5.1 and I my porpous on cloning the store in Local is to try and update. www.elcogollo.es

Do you still have access to the old files to download again? Could be something went wrong with them when downloading the first time, it's an unusual mix of files

 

Normally I'd also suggest trying to change the permissions on containing folders from say, 777 to 755 (or vice versa) or 644, but the ones in the root wouldn't help there

 

Possibly also try a different method of uploading, I've had weird ftp issues before using filezilla, and sometimes it lets you upload the file ok if you go into the hosting control panel and use the built in file manager there
