I've followed various tutorials on adding background images to the default bootstrap theme, but as yet, I've not managed to get anywhere with any of them. Is there anyone who could give me line number and the name of a CSS file that is known to work with a background picture, please? I'm also assuming that you need to disable the "Theme Configurator" module in the modules section as I'm guessing that this overrides any setting for the background anyway. Using Prestashop 1.6.0.9.
