Dh42
Can you try turning friendly urls off and turning them back on and see if that helps.
frank_jarle
Can you try turning friendly urls off and turning them back on and see if that helps. I think you are on wrong track here Mr :-) turning on/off Friendly URL in IE (if thats what you are assuiming here?) would not help. If you are thinking about the feature in PS then yes you are probably right :-) This is a prestashop issue, seems to me its related to the path where the actually files is stored. The 404 error you get is because PS is pointing to a location that either does not exist or does not contain the data its looking for. I am not nearby my PS at the moment, but if i do not recall wrongly it should be possible for PS to re-generate the indexes, and the URLs.
Dh42
In prestashop of course, I wouldn't expect any developer to use IE. But turning them off and on regenerates the htaccess, that is what I was going for even though prestashop is acting like it is in friendly url mode by the dispatcher writing friendly url links.

Please note: you did not follow upgrade path correctly, you create upgrade separate from production, then if good your move upgraded shop to production. Hopefully you have a full back up of the files and db, if not then moving forward is only option, and put out the fires along the way.

Jimbola
For future reference you should never update a live site before testing it locally, things will always go wrong.
